XP SP3 ugh

Anybody d/l this and install it yet? Don't. I've had nothing but problems with it.
It d/l OK, but times out on installing. All 5 times I've tried it.
Then I checked to see if I could remove it from the control panel-> remove programs.
It shows up in there, but when you go to uninstall it, it says there is no file to uninstall. 

Now all kinds of software is non functioning. Java, Flash and several others.
Nor can I reinstall those programs due to the windows installer is now dicked.

Said fuck it and bought another Vista Ultimate from Newegg. Should be here tomorrow and installed tomorrow night.

ya i heard they really dicked up sp3...that's y i never did on my wife's computer. Vista Ultimate is good though, Im not a huge fan of vista, but Ultimate is the way to go if you are getting it, I am using Ultimate 64bit on this machine and haven't had a problem yet

Yeah, I've been tempted to do the upgrades to 64 bit. Just not sure it's really worth it for what I do.
